What is the difference between a retailer and a reseller?

Is it possible to configure a system now and save for possible purchase at a later date?

Yes, your configuration can be saved for future viewing and/or purchase. Simply click the Save cart option on your cart page to save your configuration to your Lenovo account. Alternately, click the Email cart button to have the configuration sent to your registered inbox.

Can I save other products I am interested in for purchase at a later date?

Yes, simply select Add to wish list – found in your shopping cart as well as select products page – and follow the instructions provided. Lenovo will catalog these items for review or purchase at a later date within your Lenovo.com account. For accessories, the Add to wish list link appears under the Add to cart button. For personal computers, you will find the Add to wish list link on the summary review page when you configure your PC directly under the add to cart button.

Why can't I save a quote?

How long will items stay in my shopping cart?

How do I configure a laptop for purchase?

Lenovo allows you to custom-build many Lenovo PC types for purchase by providing upgradable or alternative options for many specific system components. While customizing your PC you can also easily add extended warranties and accessories to your order. What is the Lenovo Price Guarantee?

The Lenovo Price Guarantee is valid for 30 days from the date of your invoice from Lenovo and it applies to any lower advertised unit price (not including shipping, taxes and ecoupon discounts, if any) of a Lenovo laptop or desktop personal computer product on Lenovo.com, with a full refund of the price difference. The lower price must be for the identical Lenovo laptop or desktop personal computer product and product model number, up to a maximum purchase amount of $10,000. The Lenovo Price Guarantee is limited to a quantity of 5 Lenovo laptop and/or desktop personal computers annually per consumer or small business customer.

To claim, a customer must contact Lenovo post-sales support directly by phone or chat within the 30 day period from the invoice date and provide the active Lenovo.com page showing the lower advertised unit price (not including shipping, taxes and ecoupon discounts, if any) of the identical Lenovo laptop or desktop personal computer offered on Lenovo.com.

The Lenovo Price Guarantee does not apply to products purchased for resale, outlet purchases, products advertised as Clearance, Door Buster or Flash sales, or to pricing errors. The Lenovo Price Guarantee does not apply to the Black Friday and Cyber Monday period (5 days preceding Black Friday through 12 days after Cyber Monday). Additional restrictions may apply, and the Lenovo Price Guarantee is subject to prior Lenovo approval. Can I use multiple eCoupons for one purchase?

I received a message stating my eCoupon is not valid, what do I do?

Ensure you are entering the eCoupon correctly as they are case-sensitive. Other potential issues include:

What shipping options are available?

Lenovo offers free standard shipping and handling through UPS on nearly all products. Standard delivery orders generally arrive 5-7 days after your estimated ship date.

How do I check my order status?

Yes, you can view the status of your order in one of two ways:

If you are a registered Lenovo.com customer, simply login to your account and click View my orders.

Note that Affinity/EPP customers must log in at the site through which their original order was placed to view status.

Alternately, all customers may check the status of their order by visiting our Order Status page.

What is the delivery estimate?

The delivery estimate is an approximate date by which you should expect to receive your new Lenovo item(s). This date should not be taken as a firm indication of when your package will arrive.

Will Lenovo confirm my order?

A confirmation e-mail is automatically generated and sent to your designated inbox upon placement of any order with Lenovo.

Do I have to be present at time of delivery to receive my package?

Yes, Lenovo uses UPS as its standard carrier for all deliveries. UPS policy requires a signature for delivery to be made.

Can I change the delivery address of my order?

As soon as you have submitted your order, the delivery address is verified.

To help prevent fraud, we cannot change the delivery address after your order is submitted and verified. If you won’t be available to accept delivery, you can arrange for another adult to take delivery on your behalf — as long as it’s at the same address.

Can I have my purchase shipped overseas?

Lenovo is unable to ship orders internationally from the US due to export restrictions and policies. However, orders can be made from the Lenovo.com site for your destination country.

Does Lenovo ship to APO/FPO addresses?

Unfortunately Lenovo does not ship to APO/FPO addresses.

Should I refuse to take delivery of my order if I intend to return it?

It is important that you accept delivery of your Lenovo order as not doing so will tag the package as undeliverable, resulting in a 15% restocking fee assessed to the customer's account.

Problem with an Order
Can I change or cancel my order after it has been placed?

Lenovo cannot guarantee cancellation or change to an order once it has been received. All cancellation requests will be reviewed to determine eligibility. Products that have already shipped or started the manufacturing process cannot be cancelled. Software delivered electronically cannot be cancelled at any point. After submitting a cancellation request, you will be notified via e-mail if the order was cancelled successfully or if we are unable to fulfill your request.

What is Lenovo's return policy?

Lenovo.com Return Policy

Hardware Products: Lenovo will accept the return or exchange of a hardware product in its original package for a full refund if Lenovo shipped you the wrong product or makes an error in the configuration of the product ordered. Returns allowed for any other reason will be subject to a restocking fee equal to 15% of the purchase price and return shipping and handling fees.* (*see Gift Card policy below).

  • For purchases from Lenovo.com, all returns must be initiated within 30 calendar days of the invoice date.
  • For purchases from Lenovo Outlet.com, all returns must be initiated within 14 calendar days of the date of invoice.

To initiate a return, contact 1-855-253-6686 or complete the form online to obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). Any authorized return must include the product and all accessories in the original packaging, along with all documentation (including invoice, RMA and original shipping label), and must be received at the Lenovo National Return Center within 10 days of obtaining the RMA. Returns that do not follow these steps may be refused by Lenovo, and customer assumes risk of loss and damage for packages returned without an RMA. Upon receipt of your returned Product, Lenovo will issue a credit or refund of the purchase price paid, less return shipping and handling fees and any applicable restocking fees.

Software Products: Software Products may not be returned at any time unless the software being returned is:

  • Software installed by Lenovo on a Lenovo hardware Product which is authorized for return in accordance with Lenovo’s Hardware Product return policy above; or
  • Media-based software that is unopened and still in its sealed package or, if delivered electronically, software that you have not accepted the terms of the software license. For return of electronically delivered software products, you will need to provide a letter of destruction to Lenovo, in a form provided by Lenovo, confirming that the software has been uninstalled and destroyed.

Lenovo does not provide refunds or credits for portions of a packaged offering provided at a single price or for preloaded software products installed by Lenovo.

*Gift Cards are not returnable, redeemable for cash, or replaceable if lost or stolen.

How do I return an item?

To begin the returns process, please fill out and submit a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) form. To create an RMA to set up a return online, please click here. A member of our Customer Service team will then contact you to initiate your return.

How do I get a replacement manual?

System manuals are available online at our support site. Simply click User Guides & Manuals and you can locate a variety of manuals for your specific system model by searching keywords, browsing all products, or allowing our auto-detect tool (Internet Explorer required) to determine your system's model and generate related material automatically.

Due to our green-minded business practices, hard copies of system manuals are not available by mail from Lenovo.

Why should I purchase an extended warranty?

Lenovo's extended warranty options provide affordable and lengthy protection for your new Lenovo system(s). Lenovo's base warranties range from 1-3 years and are included with all Lenovo systems, these provide protection from factory defects and other non-user incurred issues. Extended warranty periods range from 1-5 years and protect your investment in a variety of ways (dependent upon warranty type selected) including on-site repair, a dedicated phone line to avoid customer support queues and protection from accidental damage.

Do I need an account to checkout?

When finalizing a purchase on Lenovo.com, new Lenovo.com users may choose to create an account or checkout as a guest.

When checking out as a guest, you will be required to insert your billing and shipping address, as well as an e-mail address to which Lenovo will send status updates regarding your order.

The guest checkout tool is a convenient and speedy method of checkout when making a one-time purchase. Your billing and shipping information will not be stored by Lenovo.com when using guest checkout, meaning that this data will have to be re-input for all future purchases made on Lenovo.com.

How do I create an account?

Creating an account is optional, you don't need to have one in order to buy online. However an account can make the checkout process much faster. To create an account, simply click on the My Account link located at the top of any page on the Lenovo site. You'll be asked to provide information to establish your account.

Can I modify my account information?

To modify your account, click on the My Account link located at the top of any page on the Lenovo site. You'll be asked to sign-in using your User ID and password. You'll then be able to see and make changes to your existing account information. Once you've made the changes you want, simply click on the button at the bottom of the page called "Change your information". This will save the changes you've made.

How do I reset my password?

You can change your password by logging in to your account at the Lenovo.com account page. If you have forgotten or lost your password, you may have a new password generated and sent to your registered e-mail address by clicking Forgot password?

Note that if you are an Affinity or EPP customer, you must log in to your specific Affinity or EPP website to reset your password.

Can I view details of past orders?
