“Lenovo storage is the beating heart of CUBRIC, underpinning vital research that aims to provide a more sensitive and specific understanding of the brain.”

Compute & Data Team Leader, CUBRIC

Supporting world-class brain research

Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Centre (CUBRIC) plays a pivotal role in the global effort to better understand the causes of neurological and psychiatric conditions. To accommodate ever-growing data volumes, CUBRIC deployed a 3 PB storage solution based on Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650 servers, powered by 2nd Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, and Lenovo Storage D3284.

With triple the storage capacity and double the data transfer rate of its previous storage system, CUBRIC can support thousands more research projects, helping to advance our understanding of the brain.
